      Keith Quencer, MD, is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist who specializes in vascular and interventional radiology. His clinical practice focuses on: Vascular access procedures for intravenous (IV) antibiotic treatment, chemotherapy and long-term IV feeding, among other thingsImage guided biopsiesVascular access procedures for successful hemodialysis of patients with end-stage renal diseasePlacement and removal of filtering devices within the IVC (inferior vena cava), a large vein in the abdomen that returns blood from the legs to the heart, to reduce the risk of pulmonary embolismInsertion of feeding tubes, also known as gastronomy tube placementDr. Quencer is an active researcher with interest in improving dialysis access in patients with end-stage renal failure and improving treatment of injury to the spleen (splenic trauma).Prior to joining UC San Diego Health in 2016, he was an interventional radiologist and clinical instructor at Yale School of Medicine.He completed a fellowship in interventional radiology at Yale School of Medicine.
