Andrew Nguyen, MD, PhD, is a neurosurgeon who specializes in endovascular treatments for neurovascular diseases and minimally invasive spine surgery.As an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Dr. Nguyen trains residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He completed his neurosurgical residency at UC San Diego School of Medicine, where he also earned his medical degree and a PhD through the Medical Scientist Training Program in conjunction with the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Dr. Nguyen joined UC San Diego Health in 2010 following a fellowship at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla.
