Located in National City, Calif., Boys & Girls Clubs of National City is a social welfare organization that offers a variety of programs to promote social, physical and emotional development of boys and girls during their critical growth periods. It provides programs in the areas of leadership development, education, health care, arts, sports and fitness. Boys and Girls Clubs of National City is a part of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, which comprises a national network of more than 3,500 neighborhood-based facilities. Started in 1860, it provides guidance-oriented character development programs on a daily basis for children between the ages of 6 and 18.
